    希克梅和苏马克

    午饭后消食,看了点food频道的Bobby Flay’s Grill it! 他和嘉宾厨师各自表演,主菜都是烤鸡胸。Bobby拿出一个球状的东西,说这叫“希克梅”,口感像苹果像土豆。他准备把它切丝,再配上西瓜做沙拉。我想起马来槟城吃过的沙拉里,有一种白色的、口感像木梨的东西,一直不知道是什么。听Bobby这么一说,仿佛就是这个希克梅。Google之(我开始用hikma,实在读音太像了),其大名叫jícama,中文是豆薯。

    嘉宾厨师则展示了一碟红红的“苏马克”粉,说有些柠檬味的,准备洒在鸡肉上。因为对细读过的东西记性还是不错,我马上想到前年翻译里遇到的“苏马克莓”。英文是sumac,阿文是summāq,书里说把它的汁液浇在薄饼上,类似在pancake上淋maple syrup。再次google,它是地中海地区的常见调料,新鲜的榨汁,干果磨粉,不过是一种东西,两种使用方法。

    小春:google一出,就越来越不用记东西了;特别是看书,笔记都省了,还随便搜关键词,可惜多是limited view
